James Pugh

James Evert Pugh, 76, of Bartlesville, passed away Monday, August 26, 2013.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2013 at the Tyner Cemetery, Oglesby, OK with Reverend Darryl Wootton officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home. James was born January 27, 1937 in Oglesby to Harry Byron and Helen Phyllis (Atkins) Pugh Sr. James grew up and attended schools in Oglesby and Ramona, graduating from Ramona High School in 1955. He married Martha Ann Martin on August 17, 1957 in Oglesby. James worked numerous jobs before starting a career in the oilfield. He worked for Rig Cementing Company and Tri Am Acid & Fracturing before retiring. James is survived by his wife, Martha Ann "Sue" Pugh of the home. Four daughters; Ginger and husband Claud Wisinger, Janet and husband Monty Kendrick, Sue and husband Joseph Werts and Beth and husband David Grim all of Bartlesville. One brother, Harry Byron Pugh Jr. and wife Margel, two sisters; Phyllis Joan Pugh and Judith Ann and husband Ken Williams all of Bartlesville. He was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Katherine Mae Pierce, Elsia Lea Thompson and brother-in-law, Samuel Thompson.

    My Grandpa I never got to give you a hug before an angel took your hand and gave you a tug I never got to give you a kiss before you made your final wish I never got to tell you I love you before you disappeared into the sky so blue I never got to tell you Goodbye all these things I wish I did whether by choice or fate I was too late. I love you Grandpa. I remember all the good times we had. Grandpa was the best Sending Condolences to all the family and friends

    Though i haven't seen you for a long time I will never forget working with you at Rig Cementing during those boom times in the early 80's where 24 hr call , 80 + hrs a week , and spending all night working or waiting in the middle of nowhere were normal .
