Charles "Charlie" Cooper passed from this world Tuesday, April 4, 2017 following a long battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Antioch Baptist Church in Stillwell, OK. Inurnment will follow at the Stillwell Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home. Charles Edward Cooper was born May 18, 1948 in rural Stillwell, OK to Chester H. and Edna Mae (Martin) Cooper. He was raised and educated in Stillwell graduating in 1972. Charlie was a mechanic by trade who enjoyed fishing and spending time with family & friends. Charlie is survived by four brothers: J.T. Cooper of Stillwell, Jerry Cooper and wife Ruby of Oklahoma City, John Cooper of Stillwell and Jimmy Cooper of Dewey. Three sisters: Lena McMurtrey and husband Audie of Stillwell, Ellen "Helen" Cooper and Kenneth Tate of Bartlesville, Reba Morris and husband Russell of Stillwell, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Edna Cooper and three brothers; Joe "JC" Cooper, J.R. Cooper and Kenneth Cooper.
