Irene Long

Irene Long passed away in Bartlesville, OK on April 22, 2017 at the age of 85 years.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Bartlesville First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Russell Hosey officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home. Irene was born on November 13, 1931 near Rifle, Colorado to David and Alice Sullivan. She is survived by her husband, Claude of 63 years. Irene leaves behind a daughter, Sylvia (Long) Eguren of Houston, TX and a son, Hui Q Long, of Slidell, LA. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren: Leah Long (Slidell, LA), David Eguren (Houston, TX), Rachel Eguren (Edmond, OK), Addye Long (Slidell, LA), Sara Eguren (Houston, TX) and one great grandchild, Phenix Stewart. Irene's living siblings include Deloris Hatcher and Idonna Falk, both of Greely, CO and Arthur Sullivan of Monte Vista, CO. Irene was a long time member of Bartlesville First Church of the Nazarene, where she served for many years in various capacities, including NMI president, church board member, choir member and children's Caravan teacher.
