Obituary For

Donald "Don" Imgrund

02/11/1927 - 02/13/2018

Surrounded at home by his loving family, Donald “Don” Imgrund passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018.  Words can’t express how much his family will miss this amazing husband, “Daddy,” “Grandpa,” and great grandfather.

Donald Francis Imgrund was born February 11, 1927, in Wadena, MN, to Frank and Rosella (Arndt) Imgrund.  He proudly enlisted during WWII with the United States Navy, serving aboard the USS Kenton.  After the war, he was graduated from the University of Colorado with a BS in Business and married the love of his life, Miss Marjorie Mae Woelbing, on August 13, 1955.  Together, they reared five cherished children.  Don’s career brought the family from Denver, CO to Bartlesville, OK in 1971, continuing a lifetime of dedicated service to Phillips Petroleum Company until his retirement in 1987.

Don was a member of St. James Catholic Church.  He enjoyed golfing, shooting, bowling, and sports.  Aside from his faith, though, Don’s top priority was always his family.

This special man is survived by his wife of more than 62 years, Marge Imgrund, and his five children, Scott Imgrund and wife, Anna, of Dallas, TX; Sherry Imgrund Sletton and husband, Ron, of Ochelata; Chad Imgrund and wife, Maureen, of Olathe, KS; Ty Imgrund and wife, Karen, of Colorado Springs, CO; and Kip Imgrund and wife, Rena, of Cabot, AR.
Also grieving his loss are two brothers, Ken Imgrund of Denver, CO and Doug Imgrund of La Crosse, WI, sister Rosemary Radek of Edmunds, WA, 14 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

A Rosary for Donald Imgrund will be held on Friday night, February 16, 2018, at 7:00 p.m., in the Walker-Brown Funeral Home Chapel and his funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday afternoon, February 17, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church. His body will be interred at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018, at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, OK.

Marge and family, Ken and I are so sorry for your loss of Don. We enjoyed being your neighbors (behind you) in 1974-1978. Glad we got to see you at mass at St. James later. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Donna and Ken Campbell
