Louise Amos, 98, of Bartlesville, died Friday in Bartlesville.
Louise was born Oct. 22, 1919, in Coffeyville, KS, to Ray and Mamie Dameron. She attended school in Coffeyville, graduating from Field Kindley High School in
1937. She married Edward Thiele in Santa Fe, NM, on Oct. 26, 1937. During WWII, they lived in San Diego and San Pedro, CA. One daughter, Linda Lou (Thiele) Levins, was born to the marriage in 1947.
Louise went on to marry Fred Amos in Newport Beach, CA, on July 24, 1971. They moved to Bartlesville in 1984 where Louise was active in the community. She belonged to the Jane Phillips Hospital Auxiliary and was active with the 55+ Activity Center and the Bank of Oklahoma Advantage Center.
Louise is survived by her grandchildren Casey Levins and Maile Levins, of Honolulu, HI; stepdaughter Sally Hernandez of Temecula, CA; and several stepgrandchildren in California. She was preceded in death by Fred Amos, her loving husband of 29 years; daughter Linda Levins; parents; sisters Nadine Carter and Dorothy Wendt; and stepson Richard Amos.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, at the Davis Family Funeral Home – Walker Brown Chapel, with Pastor Buz Wierick officiating. Interment will be in the Restlawn Cemetery, Coffeyville, Kansas. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home – Walker Brown Chapel.
